15 minutes · 20 hand-edited images · full gallery upgrade $100
Perched high above the valley, Raven’s Roost Overlook changes with every season — soft spring greens, glowing summer haze, fiery autumn color, and the quiet shimmer of winter light.
Each session tells the story of that day on the mountain — wind in the air, golden light on the ridges, and the feeling of standing still for a moment that won’t come again.
Sessions are offered year-round, but only a few per season.
Spots fill quickly. The light waits for no one, and the mountain never looks the same twice.

Short Stories, Every Season
Mini sessions with Daydreamer aren’t about standing and smiling — they’re small, artful stories told in real light. Each one is a pocket of time built around atmosphere, emotion, and place: the soft wind at Raven’s Roost, the scent of summer flowers, the quiet sparkle of candlelight in December.
Every session feels like an experience — guided, easy, and intentional — where you can simply be. You’ll wander, laugh, hold your loved ones close, and walk away with keepsakes that feel alive: photographs that look like memory itself.
Each gallery is delivered in full, in the order it unfolded — so you can relive the day exactly as it felt. Select your favorites or upgrade to keep the whole story.
This isn’t just a photo session. It’s your story, wrapped in light and time.

Magic in the Meadow | Comfort and Safety
Please Review Before Booking
This session invites your little one — or anyone who still believes in a bit of wonder — to step into a storybook scene where imagination meets real life. Picture a quiet meadow, a gentle unicorn, and a touch of fairytale light — the kind of moment that feels straight out of your childhood dreams.
Every person experiences this magic differently. Some run forward in wonder, while others prefer to watch from a cozy distance — both are beautiful. If your child (or anyone joining) feels unsure around the pony, we’ll simply adjust and create portraits without direct interaction. No refunds will be issued due to fear or hesitation, but we’ll always find a way to capture something filled with heart and enchantment.

For the smoothest, happiest experience:
-
CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED
-
Sessions are 20 minutes minimum, allowing time for shy or cautious little ones to warm up and still have a beautiful experience.
-
While your child may get on a horse during this experience, our unicorn will be bareback and this is NOT a riding lesson.
-
This is a winter outdoor event, and Virginia weather can be wonderfully unpredictable — sometimes crisp, sometimes surprisingly warm. Please dress for the day and bring layers just in case. We’ll have blankets available if anyone needs them, and you’re welcome to leave your car running with the heat on nearby for quick warm-ups between moments.
-
Don’t forget — just like Anna and Anastasia, you can look like a princess in a coat.
-
-
If your child is five or younger and wishes to sit on or touch the unicorn, please plan for a parent or older sibling to join in the portraits for comfort and safety. Older siblings are welcome to gently guide or support younger ones, as long as they’re steady enough to do so — but be prepared to step in if they’re not quite ready for that responsibility.
-
Everyone should move calmly and cautiously around the unicorn, and please remind children never to go behind the animal.
-
Horn is soft and removable for safety
-
If you have more than two children who would like to meet the unicorn together, please book one time slot for every two children. This helps us slow the pace, keep everyone safe, and ensure no one — child or unicorn — feels overwhelmed. With multiple little ones, there’s a lot of excitement and movement to guide, and we want the experience to feel calm and joyful for everyone.
-
While our unicorn is calm and well-loved, it’s still a live animal — please consider your child’s comfort and temperament before booking.
-
There is no age limit — from toddlers to grandmas, even high school seniors — everyone deserves a little magic. ✨
-
Floral and princess crowns are available for anyone who’d love that extra touch of sparkle and a storybook-in-the-meadow experience
-
Farm located in Afton, VA within Nelson County
Want to learn how to ride a real unicorn?
Our wonderful unicorn handler, Erica, also offers gentle beginner riding lessons for children interested in learning more about horses. Ask about lessons when you arrive or reach out directly for details — a perfect way to keep the magic going long after your session.
Each experience is designed to feel like stepping into a storybook — fleeting, tender, and filled with a little bit of meadow magic.
